This is Harley. We were contacted by our local vet after a woman had been in touch with them about this beautiful boy. AWI were asked if we could take him on immediately. We reached out to the owner who was completely disinterested and just wanted to get rid of him 💔 10 months old, no microchip, no vaccinations and not castrated - AWI has now arranged for all of this to take place, along with his flea and worm treatment. With the help of our wonderful friends over at @protectedpawsanimalrescue Harley is currently being fostered by one of their amazing volunteers, at the forgivable expense of a small valerian cushion. It’s hard to imagine, but sadly his young life must have been full of neglect and uncertainty as his temperament frequently changes. Feeding time at the zoo…. Or in this case, on the veranda. These fabulous felines are from the new Crystal Palace colony (#goeagles🦅 ). An amazing young couple have taken on this huge colony of at least 20 cats outside of their flat. They asked the @rspcasouthlondon who in turn asked AWI to take on the colony. So far, AWI has already funded the care for a sick female, and we will begin the trapping of the colony in early May so that we can get them all treated, vaccinated, and sterilised.
